31st March to 2nd April saw the presentation of the new Aprilia RSV 4 Factory exclusively at the Riviera Golf Resort.
Journalists from all over the world were able to admire the fantastic new model created from a revolutionary design, with a unique history of track victories.
A one-of-a-kind, super-sporty 1000 CC racer, developed around the slim V 4-cylinder engine, the result of technical know-how that has brought Aprilia to triumph on circuits all around the world.

The new model is an absolute sportster, the most complete today available to enthusiasts, and which broaches the track with just one aim in mind: to win. The press conference involved not only the most important representatives of the Piaggio group, but also Superbikers Max Biaggi and Shinya Nakano.
In 2009, the Japanese biker will race as a team, on this new model.

2009 season presentation

At 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 22nd February, the Riviera Golf Resort meeting room set the scene for the presentation of the structure's coming 2009 season, before an enthusiastic crowd of members.
The event began with the official presentation of the new structure directors: Filippo Spanò (General Manager) and Mauro Scaglioni (Golf Manager). The main concept that emerged from the evening, was the great desire to start up again, with new people, events and rules, that will help make the resort an increasingly important point of reference for the Romagna Riviera.

Mauro Scaglioni presented the calendar of sporting activities, and specifically the 2009 race schedule, which will begin on Sunday 1st March with a race on the National Circuit: the World Caribbean Challenge.
The schedule not only confirms almost all last year's appointments, but will also welcome new, important events of national importance.
William Rosen, master principal of the Riviera Golf Academy took the floor, outlining the guidelines for teaching activities, and focussing attention on ladies' courses, seniors' options and the competition team.

Filippo Spanò gave 19th March as a date on which all the resort divisions will be fully re-opened, and explained the main works carried out during this winter period.
The Riviera Golf Resort will now be able to accommodate several different events at the same time: a golf tournament, a wedding, a business meeting and a restaurant dinner.
Finally, Paolo Gerani made the long-awaited project for the second 9 holes official, all set to complete the existing course.
As support of the playing areas already in place, six executive holes will also be created, which will further add to the prestigious reputation currently enjoyed by the Riviera Golf Academy.

Works will shortly begin, therefore, signed off by the great internationally-famous architect, Graham Cooke.

New holes

Work on the nine new holes at the Riviera Golf Resort gets the go-ahead. These new holes will join up to those already in place, creating a fairly flat course with interesting, specifically created lakes and gentle slopes.

The course will be technical, with various bunkers. To then complete the Riviera Golf Academy offer, six executive holes will also be created. These will help bring new golfers to the game, and allow for specific training of competition teams and young clubs. The project bears the signature of famous Canadian architect Graham Cooke, and will be completed by spring 2010.
